sometimes i think we forget to take a moment to enjoy

the divine beauty the lord created for all of us.

delightful warm days.. bitter cold days..

autumn days keep us guessing

surprising us daily and reminding us tis the season

-that is why fall is so sweet

 enjoy those lovely days staying in reading a book snuggled up with your favorite blanket

enjoy the other days driving the canyon to see the sunset rays against the rainbow mountain

For me its not just a contest, its just an excuse to design a dress and become better at designing.

Everyone knows my dream job is to be a designer. I have got to start somewhere right?

I love looking at the runway looks from Paris & New York. My inspiration came just from that.

The look for spring 2011.

Orange is a big color this spring and I wanted to tie that into my dress. White is also a trendy color for this spring, as it always is when the sun comes out to play. I wanted one more color and i thought tan went perfectly with this orange color that is going to be a big hit this summer.

Adding the tan in makes it easy to accessorize with that color too!

"Le Charlotte"

We all love day to night dresses.

This dress has a very sophisticated look to it,

people will take us serious and that we are oh so classy.

But Le Charlotte has boxy shoulders to make it more edgy so we can wear it day to night.

The three buttons leading to the big bow in the back takes all our attention.

this dress is flattering yet humble. but why not show off our back side every once in a while...

the cool breezy nights are just a little reminder that the start of fall is arriving...
that lovely golden tan drifts away, we bare olive shoulders for one last time,
and we stop starving ourselves. I'm horrid at math but i believe this equals

change

and i can feel it in the air

my mother & i decided that we always have butterflies in the fall. there is just something about school starting, shopping for that perfect pair of jeans, new friends, new meat, newborn babe in the fam, football season, new job, and that last camping trip that makes my body rock!

these are my changes, but fall=change. is for everyone. because change in people's life, effects others.

I have this green scarf that i bought in Italy...I love shopping... {especially when i don't have a job}

confessions of a shopaholic

i am that girl.
a week ago i went to lame Plato's Closet with probably $1,000 worth of clothes & they took two purses & two scarfs. for seven dollars. lucky me right?? no. i really felt like Rebecca Bloomwood on that movie! except she sold all of her clothes.. but i am going to help others and give them to my sisters and friends. doesn't that sound so much better than money? really. i am so glad i could help my loved ones have new things! so with that my room has been a complete mess.

my room looked like this a week ago...

horrid right? yes it was terrible i had to jump on my bed. the reason is this, i've moved home for the summer!!
so all my things in my apartment are in my room & you better believe that i couldn't find anything. now, my room is spotless & there is nothing better than that. home sweet home & it looks like this..

"I am a designer"

Monday morning i was in my room cleaning it..right before the little babies come in & told me how gross and messy it was. {i'll explain in another post why it is so messy.}Keira Chase & Jonas {My brother Jake & Neena's Kids}were over playing in the hall next to my room. & if you know me, I have pretty big ears and i heard keira say to chase.. "I am a designer and i am designing sweaters.." i thought um. wait. this should be coming out of my mouth! lol so i walk outside and ask Keira what she just said, with a huge smile she said exactly what i heard. i said, "that is so cute!" she knows i love fashion and all that so that smart girl just knew i would adore that. i also asked her if she knew what a designer was. she did. then reminded her how my dream is to own a boutique when i get older. and she even knew what a boutique was. this girl is only six years old!

So she asks me. "would you like to order anything?" i couldn't refuse, i said "of course! i have this turquoise dress with gold buttons but i need some shoes & a handbag to match." she did that and every drew me a little gold sweater i have been searching for.

she had me pick between boots, high heels, and flats. i choose the high heels of course. later came the sweater that was turquoise with gold trim. she did all of this by herself that darling girl.
when i told her about my dream {owning my own boutique} she said she wanted to own her own salon in her basement.. when i was little i always wanted to do that too!! everyone changes but maybe this girl will help my start my business up! she has got some talent am i right?

yet another weekend to remember...

i wake up to my nieces saying.. Natalie its time to wake up!! {they've been up for hours. poor grandma Lisa}
Kelsey says,
"when the sun is up, we get up...when it gets dark we go to bed"
hmm.. when she goes to bed, i am going out for the night, when she wakes up, i almost sleep until she has 'quite time'. {i'm exaggerating}

when my niece Kelsey, tells me...

"Natalie, you need to clean your room..."

i know i should do so.

when she also tells me...
"Natalie, junk food is not healthy and makes you have a big tummy..."

i know i need to be off junk food.

oh wait, i'm off junk food. but she still tells me i have a big tummy! dang i better get workin' out.

that silly girl she is. & smarrrrt too!

we {as in my mom, and i helped.} babysat kids all weekend.
my Father was in Colorado with Jake the bro.
my Sister Jenny is still at the "happiest place on earth" 
with her husband Jared {Pete} & kids Jace & Lil'
then my other sis Holly Joy & her hubby Robert were in Cali also.
they left the kids to my mom.

my mother took them to the aquarium where they saw real sharks!! & penguins.
------while i was off being a big girl TRYING to find a job..

then we watched UP as we watch the beginning, Kelsey says to me..
"oh natalie, that is so sad i'm about to cry" with tears in her eyes.

then they played while i mowed the lawn
but then we got to ride the horses!!
with Dani's cute voice, she said she didn't want to get on the horses. that she was too scared.
that girl Danielle.. she has the cutest little personality!
Kelsey was timid at first, but she got on jazzy {our horse} with me & we rode around, even trotted on the horse a little. {ya know, kinda like skipping on a horse.}

Kelsey says to me,  "dang, i wish i had my pink cowboy boots!!" 

.oohh at age four? yes. so cute.

 & BOY did we have fun!!!as i read to Kelsey, before bedtime.. we {mostly me cuz that dang girl is so smart} learned a lot about snakes, lizards, birds, starfish, seashells, and crabs...

• did you know that starfish aren't really considered a fish? •

& has one red eye at the top of each arm. {so usually five}

• did you know that crabs have blue blood? •

{this is when Kelsey starts gagging. literally making the noises. makes me kinda want to gag..so i tell her to stop, of course.} 

 Danielle does everything Kelsey does so i hope Dani doesn't pick up that one!

we wanted to watch Pocahontas all weekned. but we didn't make it to that movie.

but white is SO unflattering to a womens body

it can make a tiny girl look big.

i also prefer cream

because it is pretty much my favorite color.

did the daily errands with my dearest mother of mine.
shopping. a given.
grocery store! thanks for the grocery's mom.
pedicure. for spring.

 dinner

with my best friend in the world.Kathryn Young.since, pre-school.pretty cool i know.also, her sister Suzanne Young.joined us. she is like my half sister.the young family is so fab.pretty much my second family.

 

 then came home to watch my favorite show.

.gossip girl.

pretty much the highlight of my week.

sad i know.

but i do just adore it.

to end the night.

i got a massage from my pops

then a warm blessing from my handsome father..

we love working on the farm {ryedale} together.

daddy. thank you so much for being worthy to hold the priesthood.

i know i can always come to you in need.

as i know, i can to the lord.
